Lot: 28 Two "C.A. Richards & Co / 99 Washington St / Boston" Rye Bottles, probably a Stoddard glasshouse, Stoddard, New Hampshire, 1860-1872. Square with beveled corners, red amber and olive amber, applied sloping collared mouths - smooth bases, ht. 9 1/2 inches and 9 5/8 inches. Form similar to L/P plate 11, row 3, #7 These two beautifully colored bottles have partial front and rear labels noting that they are "Extract Of Rye", one example has a partial box, bottles in fine condition, good colors, strong embossing.
