Lot: 89 Two Pitkin Type Flasks, ribbed and swirled to the right, 16 ribs and ribbed and swirled to the left, 30 ribs, Midwest America, 1820-1840. Brilliant blue green, sheared mouths - pontil scars, ht. 5 9/16 inches and 6 11/16 inches; (light exterior high point wear, larger example has potstone near base with three 1/16 inch legs). Similar in form and construction to McK plate 89, #8 and #12 Both have numerous bubbles. Great colors. Strong mold impressions. Estimate: $500 - $1,000 Minimum bid: $250 Price Realized: $702 |
