Lot: 165 Two Labeled Cathedral Pickle Bottles, America, 1860-1880. Square with beveled corners, shades of light yellow green, applied round collared mouths - smooth bases, ht. 8 7/8 inches and 11 1/8 inches; (minor loss to label edges, larger example has 1 inch open bubble on corner near base). Similar in form and construction to Z pg. 454, top right One label reads "Puritan / Brand / Boston Packing Co.", the other reads "Epicurean / Delicacies / Mixed Pickles". Both labels are highly graphic and attractive. Generally fine condition.
