Lot: 169 Rooster Sealed Black Glass Wine Bottle, probably England, 1710-1715. Cylindrical mallet form, dark olive green, sheared mouth with applied string rim - pontil scar, ht. 6 3/4 inches, greatest dia. 5 1/2 inches; (overall matte surface, 7/8 inch chip on string rim, shallow 1/8 inch flake on top edge of mouth). Similar in form to AG plate 17, #1 Page 228 of ASB mentions that the rooster symbol is usually represented as crowing. Generally fine condition.
