Lot: 120 Pattern Molded Covered Sugar Bowl, eight vertical ribs on bowl, twelve vertical ribs on cover, early Pittsburgh district, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 1820-1840. Pear form with galleried rim and applied circular foot, cover has inward folded rim and button finial, colorless, tooled rim - pontil scar, ht. with cover 7 3/4 inches, greatest dia. 4 7/8 inches. Similar in form and construction to PG plate 162, center A handsome bowl with the classic pear form and great glass clarity. Fine condition. Dr. Charles and Jane Aprill collection.
