Lot: 129 Cathedral Pickle Bottle, Willington Glass Works, West Willington, Connecticut, 1840-1860. Square with beveled corners and fancy cathedral arches, aquamarine, outward rolled mouth - pontil scar, ht. 13 1/2 inches; (one inch area of manufacturing surface crudeness near the top of one arched panel has two small open bubbles, 1 1/4 inch long pontil scar related disturbance). Similar in form and construction to Z pg. 456, top left A big, bold jar with tons of presence. Generally fine condition. Dr. Charles and Jane Aprill collection.
