Lot: 253 Pressed Glass Decanter, probably Pittsburgh district, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 1860-1880. Cylindrical with octagonal base, brilliant canary yellow, sheared mouth with applied neck band - polished pontil scar, ht. 11 1/8 inches; (several shallow manufacturing fissures in base, light exterior high point wear). Similar in form to American Glass 1760-1930 The Toledo Museum Of Art Vol. 2, fig. 889 Beautiful bright color and form. Generally fine condition.
