Lot 25: “Wm H. Harrison” And Bust-Log Cabin Portrait Flask, early Pittsburgh district, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, circa 1840. Aquamarine, sheared mouth-pontil scar, pint. A flat ˝ inch chip on the side of the mouth on exterior, with a ˝ inch chip from the side of the mouth in the same area on interior. GI-63. Extremely rare mold with but 4 or 5 examples. This flask was made for Harrison’s 1840 Presidential campaign. Despite the chip which is very shallow, the flask displays well.
